Discover India and Beyond Motor Rally 2019

Our expedition started from Sagar, Shimoga district, Karnataka on November 6 2019. Our rally entered Myanmar at Moreh (Indian border), Manipur and subsequently visited Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and finally returned to Sagar on December 27, 2019 after covering 19000kms in 53 days.

En-route Countries….

Myanmar

Isolated from the rest of the world for more than three decades, Burma remains one of the most mysterious and undiscovered destinations in the world and offers all the traditional delights of Asia: virgin jungles, snow-capped mountains, pristine beaches and ancient cities that was closed to foreigners for a long time. Myanmar’s culture is a result of heavy Indian influences intertwined with local traditions and some Chinese influences; this can be seen in the various stupas and temples throughout the country. Most Burmese people are incredibly friendly and polite, and will do their best to make you feel welcome in their country.
Visited Places –Bagan, Inle Lake, Amarapura, Mahamuni Image, Nay pi taw, Mandalay, Yangoon, Buch of Pagodas

Thailand

Thailand is a wondrous kingdom, featuring Buddhist temples, exotic wildlife, and spectacular islands. Along with a fascinating history and a unique culture that includes delectable Thai food and massage, Thailand features a modern capital city, and friendly people who epitomize Thailand’s “land of smiles” reputation.
Visited Places –Phuket, Bangkok,  Pattaya, Chiang Mai.

Cambodia

Ascend to the realm of the gods, Angkor wat (the eighth wonder of the world), Descend in to hell at Toul Sleng prison. With a history both inspiring and depressing, Cambodia delivers an intoxicating present.
Visited Places –Angkor wat, Angkor thom…

Laos

Laos brings together the best of Southeast Asia in one bite-sized destination. Laos is perfect for those who have a passion for seeking out untamed destinations. Nestled among Southeast Asian travel giants Thailand and Vietnam, Laos is the lesser known, quieter sibling. Enjoy spectacular scenery, visit sacred temples and discover the laid back charm of the friendly Lao people. Opened recently after years of war and isolation, Laos is known for its incredibly relaxed and welcoming citizens. Laos is truly a country that offers the Wildland traveler the chance to experience pristine nature and intact cultures by simply stepping off the beaten track a few steps.
Visited Places –Kuang si Waterfalls, Konglor Caves, Luang Prabhang, Vang Vieng, bunch of Water falls and caves

Vietnam

Astonishingly exotic and utterly compelling, Vietnam is a country of breathtaking natural beauty with a unique heritage, where travel quickly becomes addictive.
Unforgettable experiences are everywhere in Vietnam. There’s the sublime: gazing over a surreal seascape of limestone islands from the deck of a traditional junk in Halong Bay. The ridiculous: taking 10 minutes just to cross the street through a tsunami of motorbikes in Hanoi. The inspirational: exploring the world’s most spectacular cave systems in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. The comical: watching a moped loaded with honking pigs weave a wobbly route along a country lane. And the contemplative: witnessing a solitary grave in a cemetery of thousands of war victims.
Visited Places – Hanoi, Sapa, Ho chi Minh city
